Project description

The fuel depot was built on fallow land and put into operation in 2010.

During construction and operation, there were minor incidents which caused oil leakage. To explore the current state, a detailed examination was conducted.

 

To minimize future risks, the whole depot area was evaluated for opportunities of improvement. The local operating staff has been trained to perform simple groundwater investigations.

  • Supplying material (construction of gauging wells, sampling, measurement instrumentation)
  • 20 exploration drillings
  • Extraction of soil and groundwater samples, investigation for use-specific contamination
  • Hydrogeological evaluation
  • Surveying faults, developing proposals for improvement, monetary evaluation
  • Final report with recommendations for action and remediation proposals
