Groundwater monitoring prior to dewatering measures for a new underground railway line
Location |
Munich, Germany |

2008 |
Project descriptionHydrochemical and hydraulic data was collected for the construction of an underground railway tunnel. This was done by a pumping test of an aquifer. The groundwater’s on-site parameters were ascertained through a measuring system containing data loggers. The groundwater level of the exctraction well was observed by pressure sensors. To plan potentially required cleaning of construction site water, groundwater samples were taken and analysed. The extracted groundwater was cleaned by a mobile treatment unit. |
